"Time fades even legend, and the origin of the Soul Reaver has been lost long ago. But its purpose remains - to feed on the souls of any creature it strikes. Kindred, this blade and I."
- Kain the vampire, Blood Omen - Legacy of Kain

This is a thread generating interest in having Epic Weapons forge a replica of the Soul Reaver from the Legacy of Kain game series.

A testament to demand is the original thread over at the United Cutlery Forums that was wiped three times and still managed to have the most views and posts of the entire forum each time it was resurrected. Sadly, the company went into receivership and the furthest the project went was being commissioned into prototype form after having it's design drawings approved.

Kit Rae himself will tell you how passionate the Legacy of Kain fans are in regards to having this weapon created and your talented group of individuals has proved beyond a reasonable doubt that you have the skill and the attention to detail that it takes to create it.

Weaponsmiths @ Epic - I implore you!

I literally made an account in order to express my interest in your creation of said weapon. I know a great many people that would be willing to pay a decent amount for a well crafted version of this, as everything currently available is sub-par to say the least. Something "battle ready" is always preferable, howerver this is a small concern considering most are likely to use it for stagework or photoshoots.

If any more proof is needed, one need merely check the wealth of sites asking for a sequal to this series despite the obvious close of the story arc, as well as the amount of bands, especially within the black-/prog-metal milleu, whom have such close aethetics to this style as for it to be more than obvious as to where they drew their influence. However, even disregarding this, the number of orders for such a thing even if it was not produced in large quantities seems quite considerable, as the amout of varying forums asking for such a thing amply display.

I am aware that it is early in the consideration process, however the demand has been outweighing the supply for so long that those consumers that are truly interested in a superior version are too eager to wait, and any speed in this endeavour would be met with equal buying response, I am sure. Barring your own PR, I am aware of enough boards that I could link the finished article to that would attract a wealth of interest.

My thanks in advance for your consideration,

~Naz~

That is awesome! And remember, that is one big sword. From what I've seen in the games, it has a bit over 1,50m in the least. If it was to be made, I would apreciate if it come out the most accurate of ways, what I assume it won't be a problem, having seen your previous work =)

I created this account with the only intention to say please, PLEASE go through with your plans to craft this blade.

The Legacy of Kain has, since Blood Omen, has been one of my all time favourite game series and i have often daydreamed about having a replica of the Reaver itself adorning a wall in my house.

I can't speak for everyone but i would be willing to pay a decent price to get my hands on a Replica of the Soul Reaver with the quality you're capable of.

I'll be keeping a close on your news stories to see what happens with this. Very excited to hear it's a possibilty. the Soul Reaver is THE fantasy sword in my opinion, nothing compares.

I also like Razlo and Naz created this account to show my support for the creation of this blade.

I can remember last year and the year before that I was sat at my laptop scowering the internet for such a replica as this to become available.
After so much hearsay it brings it brings a surge of excitement and such a big grin to my face to read that it is at least being considered =D

it's been along time coming.
